<title>AAC looks to the future with NEW Member Benefits</title>

<description><![CDATA[<p>The Aluminum Anodizers Council (AAC) Board of Directors recently commissioned a study with Ducker Carlisle, a Global Consulting, Strategy and M&A Firm, to look at the North American Anodized Aluminum Market. “This is an exciting benefit for AAC member
    companies to be used by companies to chart their path forward for years to come,” said Janette Courtney, Chairperson of the AAC.  Over the years Ducker Carlisle has worked extensively with various associations to develop various markets, needs, and
    risk studies.</p>
<p><a href="https://www.duckercarlisle.com/" target="_blank"><img alt="" src="https://members.anodizing.org/resource/resmgr/survey/ducker-carlisle.png" class="img-responsive" /></a></p>
<p>The study will be conducted in three phases over the next two years and include: market assessment, trends, growth areas, market needs/unmet needs, alternatives, and risks. The results of the first phase will be unveiled at the Annual Anodizing Conference
    in October, <a href="https://members.anodizing.org/page/anodizing-conference">register now</a>. Subsequently, phase two and three will be delivered in February and August 2025, respectively.</p>
<p>A member only information webinar will be held with Ducker Carlisle to provide an overview of the project and outline the process. The webinar will occur at 12 p.m. Central Time on July 18. Please register for the webinar <a href="https://attendee.gotowebinar.com/register/924353268842601301"

<p>Additionally, Ducker Carlisle will be conducting one-on-one discussions with AAC members. The 40 – 60 minute interview will consist of the following:</p>

<p><span style="color: #1f497d;">EVANSVILLE, IN – George Koch Sons, LLC a subsidiary of Koch Enterprises, Inc. today announced it has acquired Jessup Engineering, a Rochester Hills, Michigan-based company with more than 45 years of experience providing automated finishing systems to the aerospace, automotive, industrial and agriculture industries. The systems are used to automate material flow during surface treatments such as plating, cleaning or chemical processing of manufactured parts.&nbsp; Jessup Engineering will become part of George Koch Sons and will continue to serve its growing customer base from its existing Rochester Hills, MI facilities.&nbsp;</span></p>

<title>Aluminum Anodizing Operation Receives General Motors Approval</title>

<description><![CDATA[<p>PALATINE, Illinois, USA, May 9, 2017 – Arlington Plating Company is proud to announce the company’s fully automated aluminum anodizing operation has been approved by General Motors. Meeting the GMW14665 material specification, “Anodic Oxidation Coating on Aluminum,” exterior automotive trim parts up to 100″ in length will soon be processed though the 5000 ft.2 line. </p>
<p>The GM approval certifies that Arlington Plating Company is highly qualified to anodize exterior <img alt="" src="https://members.anodizing.org/resource/resmgr/media/News/Members_News/ArlingtonPlating_Anodizing_T.JPG" style="width: 250px; height: 188px; float: right; margin-top: 7px; margin-left: 7px;" />aluminum parts that address both Class A and Class B alkaline pH requirements, as well as decorative interior trim applications. Recently completed in January 2017, the automated line produces MIL-A-8625 Type II (sulfuric) anodizing with high pH sealants, organic die coloring and electro color capabilities. The line offers bright dip and satin finish applications.</p>
<p>The GM team’s extensive review included an audit of the 44 process tanks that comprise the anodizing line, as well as best practices and standard operating procedures performed by Arlington Plating Company. GM noted that the installation of the automated line, representing over a $2 million dollar investment, factored into granting GMW14665 approval so quickly.</p>
